Poppy Seed Dressing:
¼ C sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp dry mustard
¾ tsp poppy seeds
½ C oil
¼ C vinegar
Salad:
lettuce leaves
pear or avocado, sliced
grapefruit sections
gorgonzola cheese
toasted pecans
Combine the dressing ingredients in a jar and shake or whisk together. Keep refrigerated. Makes 1 cup.
Put lettuce leaves on each plate. Layer with pear or avocado slices, alternate with grapefruit sections; sprinkle cheese and pecans on top. Pour dressing over.
